Christopher
Sawyer
Chris graduated from Hastings College of the Law in 2003
where he served as Board Member of the Hastings Law Journal. While
in law school, Chris served as a judicial extern at the San Francisco
Superior Court in the Family Law Department for the Honorable Charlotte
Walter Woolard. Chris received a Witkin award for achieving the top
grade in his Feminist Legal Theory class and published a law journal
note debating California’s obligations to recognize out-of-state
same-sex unions.
Chris Sawyer’s family law career began prior to law school
where he worked as a legal assistant in a thriving San Francisco
Family Law practice.
Prior to coming to Hersh FamilyLaw Practice, Chris served as an
Associate Attorney at Hoover & Bechtel, LLP, a boutique Family
Law firm in Santa Clara county. At Hoover & Bechtel, Chris handled
Family Law cases exclusively including dissolutions, custody, support,
domestic violence, restraining orders, and more.
At Hersh FamilyLaw Practice, Chris continues to practice in all
aspects of Family Law. Chris’s clients include individuals
with small isolated Family Law issues as well as complex cases with
high assets and extensive litigation.
Chris takes cases in most Bay Area counties and has appeared in
Family Courts all over the Bay Area and California.
